Step
1 – Cleaning And Preparing The
Surface
You’ll need to thoroughly
clean the surface area you will apply
your Wild Sticker to. Most glass cleaners
will work well or use a soap solution
as in the wet application method.
You’ll want to make sure you
remove any wax or polish residue so
that your Wild Sticker will adhere
properly. For more Surface Preparation
tips Click Here >>>.

Step
2 – Prepare Your Wild Sticker
For Installation
Lay your Wild Sticker down on a smooth,
flat surface with the clear transfer
material facing up. Using the edge
of your squeegee or credit card, burnish
the clear transfer material to your
wild Sticker artwork or lettering
design by applying firm pressure and
rubbing from the center to the edges
of your graphic.
Next, apply a strip of masking tape
along the top edge of your Wild Sticker
so that ½ of the tape is on
the clear transfer material and the
other ½ hangs over to create
a “hinge” so that it can
be applied to your application surface.
Note:
For longer or lettering applications
position your Wild Sticker in place
first with two small pieces of tape
in the corners and then run a long
strip of tape along the top edge to
create the “hinge”

Step
3 – Positioning Your Wild Sticker
While holding the top edge with the
tape “hinge” just off
the surface, move the graphic into
position in the desired location.
When you’re satisfied with the
placement, press the tape “hinge”
onto the surface holding your Wild
Sticker in place.

Step
4 – Remove The Backing Material
Lifting up on the edge
of your Wild Sticker, gently peel
a corner of the clear transfer material
away from the backing material with
one hand. You can now lift the graphic
so that it swings upward by your taped
“Hinge” and slowly pull
the backing material away from the
clear transfer material while holding
the graphic away from the application
surface. Always draw the backing material
or release liner from the film, never
the other way around. Your graphic
should adhere to the clear transfer
material. Once the backing material
is peeled away the sticky vinyl back
of your graphic is exposed.

Step
5 – Applying Your Wild Sticker
While holding the clear transfer material
with your graphic with one hand, take
the squeegee with your other hand
and begin to burnish your Wild Sticker
to the surface from top to bottom
in smooth, short strokes slowly moving
downward and fixing the adhesive backing
to the surface. If you get a crease
or bubble, gently lift the sticker
back upwards off the surface and try
again. You can work out small bubbles
later.
Now that you have applied Your Wild
Sticker graphic you should continue
to burnish it onto the surface with
the squeegee working from the center
outward using an increasing amount
of pressure to securely affix the
adhesive to your surface.
|
 |
Step
6 – Finshing Off
With your graphic firmly affixed to
the surface, lift a corner of the
transfer material away from the surface
and gently peel away at a 180 degree
angle. The masking tape “hinge”
should also peel away revealing your
custom graphic!
