Vinyl
Materials and Colors
Wild
Stickers uses premium 2 mil
or high quality 2.5 mil outdoor
grade film for all of our graphic
sticker products. We source
from a variety of manufacturers
including Oracal, Arlon, Tape
Technologies and MACtac to bring
you the best colors and quality
depending on the application.
Most vinyls we use are “rated”
for at least 4 years with some
rated to 8 years depending on
your color selection and usage.
The manufacturer “rating”
is a minimum rating that means
your vinyl sticker will not
crack, peel or fade under normal
conditions within that period
of time. Wildstickers.com also
guarantees our products for
1-year.
In
some cases we offer specialty
films and vinyl that have a
shorter lifespan. These specialty
items are indicated on our colorchart
page and generally include custom
metallic, holographic or flourescent
vinyls that are not available
with longer lasting ratings.
Wild
Stickers carrys a wide variety
of colors
and specialty films to give
you maximum flexibility and
creativity in the selection
and creation of your Wild Stickers.
View our color chart to see
all currently available colors
and styles. Note that the colors
represented on our web site
and your computer screen are
only approximations of the true
vinyl colors which are generally
much more vibrant and richer
than what can be represented
on your monitor.
You
might also notice that WildStickers.com
carrys a much larger color selection
than most other online "Decal"
sites. We carry a larger inventory
because we strive to provide
the best customer service possible
and help you get just the right
color for your application.
If you do not see the color
you're looking for please contact
us and in most cases we'll help
you find it. If you want to
know the lifespan of the exact
sticker(s) you want contact
us and we'll be happy to let
you know what specific materials
we will use for your order.
If you would like to request
a specific material for an order
please contact us in advance
of placing your order.

| Care
and Maintenance
Now
that your Wild Sticker is installed,
keep it looking great by applying
wax or RainX over it whenever
you wash your vehicle. Be sure
to clean excess wax buildup
from around the edges of your
sticker. Your Wild Sticker is
Guaranteed for 1 year and most
colors should last for 5 years
or more with a little care.
If you live in an area with
winter conditions of snow and
ice take care not to use an
ice scraper around your sticker.
|
Keeping
and Storing Your Wild Stickers
Keep your Wild Stickers in a
cool dry place prior to installation.
Wild Stickers will last longer
if kept in an airtight plastic
bag or container. Store all
stickers in a flat position
out of sunlight.

Installation
Conditions
For best results install your
Wild Stickers in moderate temperatures
between 50 and 90 degrees F.
Do not install your stickers
in direct sunlight or during
extremely humid, rainy or adverse
weather conditions. For automotive
installations, make sure the
surface temperature of the vehicle
is between 50 and 90 degrees
F. A
significant drop in temperature
should be avoided during the
first 24 hours after adhesion.
Should this occur nonetheless,
we recommend treating the film
with warm air from a heat gun
or other heat source.
Never
install stickers on newly painted
surfaces. Wait at least 60 days
to install stickers over new
automotive paint.

Surface
Preparation Tips
Make
sure to properly clean your
application surface prior to
installing your Wild Stickers.
Never use ammonia based cleaning
solvents for vinyl applications.
Here are some tips for preparing
and cleaning different surface
types:
Automotive
surfaces and windsheilds
Use a glass cleaner or soap
solution and paper towel or
lint-free cloth to thoroughly
clean the surface. Make sure
to completely remove any wax
buildup, oils, adhesives,
bugs etc. You can use a razor
blade to scrape clean glass
surfaces.
Plastics
and Vinyl Surfaces
Use a glass cleaner or soap
solution and paper towel or
lint-free cloth to thoroughly
clean the surface.
Natural
Materials And Painted Surfaces
Use a household cleaning spray
or solution and paper towel
or lint-free cloth to thoroughly
clean the surface. Make sure
the surface is completely
dry before applying your Sticker.
Newly painted surfaces should
be allowed to dry for at least
1 week prior to sticker installation
to prevent bubbles and delamination.
Note:When
using materials that tend
to outgas, such as polycarbonate
or polystyrene products, we
recommend the following steps:
Clean the surface, mount a
piece of film to it, and store
at 140°F for 24 hours.
If bubbles form after 24 hours,
outgassing is still occurring.
Either treat the plastic with
a heat source or store it
for an extended period at
room temperature conditions
in order to cure the substrate
prior to application of the
vinyl.

Removing
Stickers and Decals
If
you decide to remove your Wild
Sticker or most other decals
you can use a hair dryer to
apply heat while gently scraping,
picking and peeling the vinyl
off the surface. On glass surfaces
you can use a razor blade along
with the hair dryer.
The environment and surface
temperatures must be at least
68°F before these films
can be removed. Using a knife,
first lift up one corner of
the film, then slowly draw the
film from the surface at a 180°
angle. Heating the film with
a heat gun while pulling makes
removal easier. If the film
being removed is very old, a
small amount of residue from
the adhesive may remain on the
surface. This can be removed
easily with varnish thinner
or adhesive remover and a paper
towel or lint-free cloth.
Removal
may be more difficult in colder
and dryer conditions.

| Is
There A Difference Between A
Sticker And A Decal?
Not
really. In fact "Decal"
actually stems from the word
"Decalomania" which
refers to the process of transferring
a picture or design. A "Sticker"
is any type of adhesive label
whether printed on or not.
In
recent history the term "Decal"
has become popular in the automotive
industry, but at Wild Stickers
we refer to our products as
"Stickers" because
you can "Stick One On"
just about anything.

| Selecting
A Size For Your Sticker Order?
Your
WildStickers order is roportionately
scaled to fit within the area
specified in your order selection.
For instance, if you select
a size of 5"x5" the
sticker design you chose will
be scaled propotionally to fit
within that area. If the design
is wider than it is tall, the
width of your sticker will be
5" and the height will
be scaled proportionally. If
the design is taller than it
is wide, the height of your
sticker will be 5" and
the width will be scaled proportionally.
